Packet Description:

“Spicey, medium-hot flavor and colorful fruits are a favorite. Crisp waxy, 6-inch peppers turn from yellow to crimson at maturity. (Pugency rate 5,000-10,000 Scoville units.)”

Our take:

These are our most popular pickling peppers. I failed to produce more than a few fruits and caught hell for mixing a bunch of Habanero and Carolina Reapers into the mix. Sorry Kasey, I will try harder this go round.

These seeds were introduced to us a few years back when my eldest son’s teacher was giving out seeds as prizes. I couldn’t have been happier with the results. We had multiple plants that yielded upwards of 20 peppers each. That was in a garden bed at our old house, full sun, plenty of spring compost, and a lot of natural weed blocking grass clippings. As we expand our fairly new garden this year, we are going to try to dial it in this year.
