Indeterminate

Packet Description:

“(aka Red Brandywine) The original Brandywine introduced by Johnson and Stokes in 1889 from seeds the received from a customer in Ohio. Named after Brandywine Creek in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Large vines produce deep red 8-12 ounce fruits. Excellent Flavor. Very productive.”

Our take:

These beautiful red globes are what you want those store-bought slicers to be. If a sandwich shop used these could easily rise above the competition. Also great for stewing and sauce. Our 2020 plant ended up succumbing to blight before yielding any fruits. Hopefully this year will be different.
