Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds

Packet Description:

“What a pepper! This variety produces huge, long bell peppers that have delicious, thick flesh. They start out green and turn bright red. Very productive plants and great flavor will make this old Ozark variety a favorite.”

Our take:

This pepper was new to us in 2020. We did not have a great year with peppers, and pepper success was minimal for bells. I think the biggest factor being we did not have any peppers in direct sun the majority of the day. A terrible thing to complain about, but we had huge beautiful Willow Oaks shading our backyard. Most are still there but some major trimming took place that I think is going to bring a much needed solar upgrade to our summer patch.
