18'x36' PVC Greenhouse
A few folks on YouTube and TikTok have been asking for a design/materials list for our big greenhouse. I have been hesitant to put this together as I have no real expertise in building something like this. I had an Idea, I put it to scratch paper, and tried to account for everything I could think of. I ordered/gathered the materials and just got to work.
This is my basic design. I will make a few more videos discussing what I would modify if I went back to the beginning. I highly recommend taking these into account. Take some time to think about your particular needs. Consider what you might want to modify to accommodate these needs.
The basic design was meant to fit an 18’x36’ area. The foot print extended to 18’x36’7” to minimize cuts to the 4”x4” base.
Materials:
4'“x4”x12’ (10)
1” X10’ Schedule 40 PVC (39)
1” 45 Degree PVC Elbows (26)
1” PVC Couplings (13)
1”x3”x8’ Boards (10)
12’ Aluminum Single Channel WireLock (12)
4’ Length of Zig Zag wire (72) you may get away with less. I found that they stretch out a bit while being installed. I had maybe 6 leftover.
36’ x 110’ Tufflite IV, Clear, 6 mil, Greenhouse Plastic (1)
2”x4”x10’ Studs (2)
2”x4”x8’ Studs (2)
2”x3”x8’ Studs (30ish)
